A client asked for “neutral but funky” nails, so we came up with this design.  It’s a little simple, but still effective!
Colors are Gelish - base is Reserve and stripes are Sweet Chocolate.

A client came in recently asking for a no-chip manicure that wouldn’t have noticeable outgrowth, so we went with a simple rose-colored ombre.  Even though the design is simple, I think it turned out great!
Colors are Gelish Sweet Dream and Exhale.

I’ve been playing around with the layering limits of no-chip a lot lately.  The result turned out with a nice ocean-ey feel, I think!

The weather’s finally getting warm, so it’s time to break out the neon colors!  This is Gelish Tiki Tiki Laranga with distressed peach holo foils on top.  It’s even brighter in the sunlight!

My massage therapist coworker came back for more Gelish nail art - a little simpler this time, but still fun to do.  She chose Midnight Caller for her thumb, index, and middle finger; It’s a Lily for her ring finger, and Tiger Blossom for her pinkie.  We faded them up, added some holographic glitter, and ended up with this!

One of my regulars asked for an accent nail over black, so we decided on a negative-color leopard print design.  I like that the change in colors abstracts the design a little bit, too!
Base is Gelish Black Shadow, accents are Shellac Cream Puff and Iced Cappuccino.

The weather’s finally been getting nicer, so it’s time to break out the neons!  I wanted to do something quick that I knew I wouldn’t get sick of wearing in two weeks’ time, so I went with neon color blocks.
Colors are all Gelish - mostly from the Rio and Candy Land Collection.

One of my favorite nail art clients came in the other day and requested a white tiger/zebra print manicure.  As we were getting ready to add the stripes, she asked to put one red stripe on each ring finger - it added just the right touch of uniqueness!

Colors are all Gelish - Sleek White, Stand Out, and Black Shadow.

One of the massage therapists at work recently revealed to me that she’s interested in nail art, so we now have a standing appointment to have all sorts of no-chip fun on her nails.  She wanted to match her nails to a bright teal dress, but she also wanted nails that were going to go relatively well with her clothes for the next two weeks.  We ended up with green flames over black!

Colors are Gelish Black Shadow and Shellac Hotski to Tchotchke.  I’ve been having a lot of luck using Shellac colors for details on top of Gelish (with Gelish base and topcoat) - has anyone else done this?

It’s been a while, hasn’t it?  I’ve been really busy since becoming a full-time nail tech at one salon instead of part-time at two salons, but I’ve been saving nail art photos throughout.  I have a little downtime this week, so expect to see more of me while I clear out my backlog!
This is my most recent Gelish manicure using Bella’s Vampire, Allure, and It’s a Lily.  It’s a little simple, but I love how the colors work together.
